Xiaomi MIX Flip debuts alongside Xiaomi 14T series

In addition to launching the Xiaomi 14T series, the company unveiled the Xiaomi MIX Flip, a stylish and durable foldable phone with the latest Xiaomi HyperOS. The device offers a professional-grade Leica imaging system and flagship-level performance, providing a compact form without compromising on power. With its inner and outer displays, the MIX Flip offers a smooth user experience, making it a strong competitor to traditional non-foldable phones.

The MIX Flip also introduces features like seamless multitasking, allowing users to switch between apps effortlessly, and is designed for durability with an emphasis on user convenience.

Exceptional night photography with advanced Leica optics

The Xiaomi 14T series is designed to capture stunning night-time photography, leveraging advanced AI-powered imaging technology. Both the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro are equipped to produce vibrant, clear images, even in low-light conditions, thanks to their Leica Summilux optics and large apertures.

The Xiaomi 14T Pro features a versatile triple camera system with five focal lengths ranging from 15mm to 120mm, allowing users to capture a wide variety of scenes. Its 50MP main camera is equipped with a Light Fusion 900 image sensor and a 1/1.31″ sensor size, allowing it to capture up to 32% more light than its predecessor, resulting in more detailed and vibrant photos. The Xiaomi 14T Pro also includes a 7P aspherical lens for enhanced light capture, offering high dynamic range shooting.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 14T also boasts a 50MP main camera with Sony’s IMX906 sensor, ensuring rich detail and vibrant colours, even in challenging lighting conditions. Its triple camera system spans four focal lengths, providing flexibility for users to capture landscapes, portraits, and everything in between.

The series is not just about photography – it also excels in videography. The Xiaomi 14T series supports professional-level features such as Movie mode, which captures cinematic video in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio. With features like Cinematic Blur and Rack Focus switching, users can create films with a truly cinematic feel. The MasterCinema function allows for HDR recording in 10-bit Rec. 2020 format and 4K at 30fps, ensuring users capture every detail in both light and shadow.

Harnessing AI for productivity and creativity

The Xiaomi 14T series offers impressive AI capabilities designed to improve productivity and creative tasks. From AI-enhanced voice, text, and image searches to advanced cloud computing integration, the smartphones aim to simplify daily tasks and boost efficiency.

New features include Google’s Circle to Search, which allows users to search for anything they see on their phones instantly, without leaving the app. The series also includes the Google Gemini app for real-time assistance in writing, planning, and learning. For those who often deal with multiple languages, the AI Interpreter tool ensures smooth communication during meetings and calls, offering real-time translations.

Xiaomi’s commitment to AI extends to creative functions as well. The AI Image Editing tool can expand images for better visual storytelling, while AI Eraser Pro removes unwanted elements from photos. AI Film makes it easy to create cinematic videos, and AI Portrait generates custom avatars that reflect the user’s unique style.

Since January 2024, Xiaomi has implemented over 600 software improvements, resulting in a 9.8% increase in system speed. These upgrades include better multi-language optimisation, seamless integration with Android, and reduced app redundancy, making the 14T series a more streamlined and responsive device.

Enhanced visuals, performance, and design

The Xiaomi 14T series features a 6.67-inch AMOLED CrystalRes display with a 1.5K resolution (2712 x 1220), delivering immersive visuals and ultra-smooth scrolling thanks to a 144Hz refresh rate. The display also offers DCI-P3 colour coverage and a peak brightness of 4000 nits, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor use.

When it comes to performance, the Xiaomi 14T Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor, which delivers a 37% boost in multi-core CPU performance and a 44% improvement in GPU performance. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 14T is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra, offering a 20% increase in CPU performance and a 60% boost in graphics capabilities.

Both models come with large 5000mAh batteries, ensuring long-lasting use. The Xiaomi 14T Pro introduces wireless charging to the series, offering 50W wireless charging and 120W HyperCharge, which can fully charge the device in just 19 minutes.

Designed with durability in mind, both the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro feature IP68 ratings, ensuring water and dust resistance. The 14T Pro also includes a refined metallic frame for added resilience and sophistication, with colour options including Titan Gray, Titan Blue, and Titan Black.
