Xiaomi 15 Ultra certification reveals 90W charging and satellite connectivity

Xiaomi 15 Ultra gets certified in China with 90W charging and satellite connectivity, hinting at a January 2025 launch.

The highly anticipated Xiaomi 15 Ultra could be arriving sooner than expected. The smartphone is undergoing mandatory sales and export certifications in China, suggesting itโ€™s gearing up for a launch.

Recent reports from GizmoChina and MySmartPrice reveal that Xiaomi devices with certification numbers 25010PN30C, 25019PN30C, and 25019PNF3C have surfaced on Chinese regulatory portals, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the China Compulsory Certification (CCC), commonly referred to as 3C.

Features unveiled in certifications

The certification listings confirm that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will feature 90W fast charging and satellite connectivity. Both features are subject to strict regulatory approval in China. These advanced technologies align with Xiaomiโ€™s aim to compete at the premium end of the smartphone market.

The certifications hint at a January 2025 release in China. However, this doesnโ€™t necessarily confirm a global launch during the same period. Xiaomi often staggers its product releases across different regions, so international availability remains uncertain.

Singapore registrations raise questions

A glance at Singaporeโ€™s telecommunications equipment database offers additional insights. Devices from the Xiaomi 15 series, specifically under the serial number 2419PN74G, were registered in early November 2024. Despite this, as of 19 December 2024, thereโ€™s no record of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra or any related models registered for sale in Singapore.

Interestingly, the Singapore registrations were submitted by Xiaomi Electronics Pte. Ltd. rather than the companyโ€™s usual distributor. This marks a significant shift in Xiaomiโ€™s approach, potentially tied to the brandโ€™s newly established self-managed physical stores and direct online shopping platform. The move suggests that Xiaomi wants to strengthen its presence and streamline operations in Singapore, bypassing third-party distributors.

What to expect next?

The Xiaomi 15 Ultraโ€™s combination of 90W charging and satellite connectivity puts it on the cutting edge of mobile technology. With a likely January launch in China, global tech enthusiasts will be eager to see if and when the device makes its way to other markets, including Singapore.

For now, Xiaomi fans in Singapore can monitor local distributor updates and Xiaomiโ€™s new direct sales channels for any announcements about the 15 Ultraโ€™s availability.
