Vivo X200 series debuts globally with cutting-edge cameras and AI tools

Vivo launches the X200 series globally, which is available in four colours and features ZEISS cameras, dual-chip technology, and Google AI tools.

Vivo has officially launched its X200 series smartphones, including the Vivo X200 and Vivo X200 Pro, for the global market on December 16, 2024. This marks the brand’s flagship offering for 2025, just two months after its initial release in China. The global release though, skips some AI features exclusive to China.

The Vivo X200 series introduces impressive AI capabilities, but some features remain exclusive to the Chinese market. The global launch did not mention functions like BlueLM voice interaction and AI-powered beauty filters, and they should have been rated as live-streaming tools.

Instead, international buyers will benefit from Google-based AI features, including the Gemini app, Circle to Search, and advanced photo-editing tools like AI Erase, AI Photo Enhance, and Shadow Removal. These features promise to elevate your photography and productivity experiences, making the phones an appealing choice for tech enthusiasts worldwide.

Cameras co-developed with ZEISS lead the way

One of the Vivo X200 series’ biggest highlights is its ZEISS-engineered camera system, which offers cutting-edge telephoto and portrait photography capabilities.

The Vivo X200 Pro boasts a 50MP ZEISS main camera, a remarkable 200MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide-angle lens, delivering top-tier photography for professionals and casual users. Meanwhile, the standard Vivo X200 features a 50MP VCS main sensor, a 50MP ZEISS telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide lens, making it a slightly more affordable option with similar versatility.

For fans of landscape photography, Vivo and ZEISS have included tools like the Atmospheric Style and Soft Style modes, designed to capture breathtaking tones. Additionally, the Super Landscape Mode combines features such as panorama, long-exposure photography, and perspective correction, all powered by ZEISS’s expertise.

Powered by dual-chip technology

Both phones in the X200 series are equipped with a dual-chip configuration. They share the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, which also powers the OPPO Find X8 series, but Vivo adds its in-house V3+ Imaging Chip to enhance photography performance. This combination ensures smooth processing and exceptional image quality, catering to users who value photography and multitasking.

Pricing and availability

Globally, the Vivo X200 series is available in four colours: Titanium Black, Green, White, and Blue. Pricing details for specific regions have yet to be disclosed.

It remains to be seen if the X200 series will officially launch in Singapore. Vivo has yet to confirm availability in that market, but updates will follow if the phones become available there.

If you’d like to explore Vivo’s current smartphone range, you can find them through official online stores such as Lazada and Shopee.
