Facebook, the world’s largest social network with more than two billion users, acknowledged the outage after users around the world noted on that they could not access its platform or had limited functionality.

User issues ranged from being unable to load the site to not being able to post comments. Some users have also received a message saying “Account Temporarily Unavailable” when trying to load the app.

Till now, the platforms still appear to be partially down for some users. While you can already open both platforms and some services seem to have been restored, reports of users having issues with sending messages on Messenger, posting to the feed on all Facebook products, or accessing other features on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp are still coming in.

Facebook has released a statement on Twitter acknowledging the issue and explaining that they’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. The company also further confirmed that the issue is not related to a DDoS attack.
