The Pixel Watch 3 leak reveals a brighter screen, faster charging, and new features

The Pixel Watch 3 leak reveals a brighter screen, faster charging, and advanced features, expected at the Made by Google event on August 13.

If you’re a tech enthusiast, especially a fan of Google products, you’ve got exciting news. Android Headlines has received leaked promotional materials for the Pixel Watch 3, and it looks like Google’s latest smartwatch will offer several significant improvements over its predecessor.

Brighter screen and faster charging

One of the most notable upgrades is the screen. The Pixel Watch 3 will feature Google’s Actua Display technology, first introduced on the Pixel 8 Pro. This new screen technology offers an impressive 2,000 nits of peak brightness on the 41mm and 45mm models. This substantially increased from the 1,000 nits on the Pixel Watch 2, making it easier to read in bright sunlight.

Charging capabilities have also improved. Google claims a 20% faster charging speed for the 41mm model than the previous version. Since the 45mm model is a new addition to the lineup, no comparative charging data is available for it. However, this enhancement means you’ll spend less time tethered to a charger.

Consistent battery life and new features

The Pixel Watch 3’s battery life remains consistent with its predecessors. With the always-on display activated, you can expect approximately 24 hours of use or up to 36 hours when Battery Saver Mode is enabled. This reliability ensures your watch will last throughout the day and beyond.

If you use Nest doorbells and cameras, youโ€™ll be pleased to know that the Pixel Watch 3 will allow you to view Nest camera feeds directly on the watch face. This integration makes it easier to watch your home without reaching for your phone.

Google has also introduced a morning briefing feature. This summarises daily critical health and fitness metrics, including sleep data and a readiness score. The new cardio load feature measures heart exertion and contributes to the overall readiness assessment, helping you better understand your fitness levels.

Enhanced features for runners

For those who enjoy running, the Pixel Watch 3 offers some advanced features. These include custom run-building capabilities, access to saved workouts, and audio and haptic cues for pace management. The watch will also provide insights to improve running forms, such as cadence, stride, and vertical oscillation data. These features aim to help you achieve your fitness goals more efficiently.

In terms of accessories, the watch will come with an active band (available in two sizes) and a USB-C charger featuring a secure pin system similar to that of the Pixel Watch 2. This ensures a snug and reliable fit while charging.

The Pixel Watch 3 is expected to be announced at the Made by Google event on August 13, alongside other exciting products such as the Pixel 9 series and Pixel Buds Pro 2. This event is likely to bring several new innovations to the Google product lineup.
