Long before the PlayStation and era, Atari defined home gaming. The Atari 2600+ is set to make a comeback this holiday season, offering a modern twist on this classic console. The updated console can connect to modern systems and has been resized to 80% of the original.

Gaming nostalgia with a contemporary touch

The Atari 2600+ will ship with a 10-in-1 cartridge featuring classics like Maze Craze and Missile Command. Furthermore, it's compatible with cartridges from the original 2600 and its successor, the Atari 7800. This means any old cartridges you might have lying around will come back to life, offering new gaming experiences for another generation.

The console package includes one joystick, designed to resemble the original controller closely. Additional joysticks and circular paddle controllers will be available for separate purchase. Various other will also be available at launch, ensuring that the nostalgia doesn't wear off too soon.

Pricing and availability

Priced at US$130 on Amazon, the Atari 2600+ will launch on November 17, 2023. Pre-orders are already available through the Amazon link mentioned.
