Tech experts and AI innovators to gather at Tech Week Singapore 2024 in October

Tech Week Singapore 2024 brings top AI experts and innovators from OpenAI, Google, and NVIDIA to explore the future of technology and partnerships in October.

CloserStill Media has announced the highly anticipated return of Tech Week Singapore, set to take place at Marina Bay Sands on 9-10 October 2024. This year’s event marks the 10th edition, celebrating a decade of innovation and technological connections.

As AI is expected to transform industries in the coming years, Tech Week Singapore will gather experts, innovators, and industry leaders to promote knowledge-sharing and foster partnerships. The event will feature seven co-located shows: Cloud Expo Asia, DevOps Live, Cyber Security World, Big Data & AI World, Data Centre World, eCommerce Expo, and Technology for Marketing. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the latest technological developments and their impact on various sectors. Key participants include OpenAI, NVIDIA, Google Cloud, AI Singapore, and government representatives from Abu Dhabi and Canada.

“AI can be a truly transformative technology,” said Sandy Kunvatanagarn, Head of Policy for APAC at OpenAI. “It has the potential to drive faster economic growth, improve healthcare and education, inspire new scientific discoveries, and open up new horizons for creativity. Partnerships with both public and private sectors are essential to ensure AI’s safe development and widespread benefits.”

More than 600 speakers expected

The 10th edition of Tech Week Singapore will feature over 600 speakers from across the globe, with special theatres dedicated to facilitating discussions among industry professionals. Over 25,000 senior IT leaders are expected to attend, offering a unique opportunity for networking. Technology business leaders are encouraged to register for free and participate in discussions about the future of AI.

Key speakers include:

  • Sandy Kunvatanagarn, Head of Policy for APAC, OpenAI, speaking on AI responsibility
  • Dr Simon See, Senior Director, Chief Solution Architect, and Global Head at NVIDIA AI Technology Centre, discussing AI innovation and sustainability
  • Daryl Pereira, Asia-Pacific CISO at Google Cloud, highlighting the overlooked role of cybersecurity
  • Nicholle Lindner, Vice President at Gartner APJ, addressing corporate AI roadblocks
  • Dr Lawrence Wee, Director at IMDA, exploring opportunities in emerging technologies
  • Laurence Liew, Director of AI Innovation at AI Singapore, speaking on digital transformation in the AI age
  • Dr Charles Lim, Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase, focusing on quantum security

The co-located events will also feature speakers like Imran Khan from Kellanova, Bima Tjahja from Bukalapak, and Dr Ebrahim Al Alkeem, an AI and cybersecurity expert from the government of Abu Dhabi. Other notable speakers include Patrick Png from Bridge Data Centres and Jonah Michael Ople from TikTok Shop.

Expanded co-located shows and workshops

Each of the seven co-located shows will offer keynotes and workshops to provide in-depth knowledge on specific areas of technology. Highlights include Google Cloud-led workshops on applying generative AI for business solutions, and country pavilions from South Korea, Australia, and Singapore, showcasing local AI advancements. ISACA members can attend lectures at Cyber Security World to earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.

Data Centre World will be a highlight, with a 75% increase in floor space compared to last year. The event will feature exhibitors displaying the latest technologies, along with a live data centre walkthrough, allowing attendees to experience operational components in action. The iM Women’s Luncheon will provide an opportunity for women in tech to network and foster professional relationships.

Attendees at eCommerce Expo and Technology for Marketing will hear from industry leaders, including TikTok, Amazon, and The Coca-Cola Company representatives. New pavilions from Laos and China will offer insights into how businesses can thrive in an ever-changing e-commerce environment.
