Singapore hosts ASEAN International Fashion Week 2024

Experience the innovative and sustainable designs at the ASEAN International Fashion Week 2024 in Singapore, from June 7-9.

Singapore is gearing up to welcome the ASEAN International Fashion Week (AIFW) from June 7 to 9, 2024. This prestigious event, which will feature a first-time collaboration between Epson and the ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase (AFDS), will be held at the iconic ArtScience Museum and will celebrate the convergence of high fashion and technological innovation.

A runway of innovation and sustainability

This year’s AIFW promises an impressive display of avant-garde and haute couture designs, pushing the boundaries of traditional fashion. The event will highlight sustainable and circular fashion practices, demonstrating the industry’s commitment to creativity and craftsmanship on a global stage. Notably, up to 40 international designers from more than 15 countries will showcase their most creative designs. In a significant partnership, Epson and AFDS will feature 11 talented ASEAN designers who have utilised Epson’s advanced digital textile printing technology. These designs will be brought to life using Epson’s SureColor F6430, SureColor F9430H, and SureColor F10030, and will take centre stage in a runway showcase at 8:30 PM on 7 June.

Engaging in discussions and cutting-edge technology

Following the showcase on the opening night, a panel discussion will delve into the crucial role of sustainability in the fashion and technology sectors. Scheduled for 10:00 AM on June 8, this session will host international experts, including:

  • Desmond Gay, Regional Manager of Epson Southeast Asia
  • Hayden Ng, Founder President of AFDS and AIFW
  • Rocco Leo Gaglioti, Chief Executive Officer of FNL Network, USA
  • Aidarkhan Kaliyev, Founder of Aspara International Fashion Week, Kazakhstan
  • Marianna Micelli, Founder of Mad Mood Milano Fashion Week, Italy
  • Eduardo Perez Gonzales Ocantos, Fashion Designer for Ocantos, Argentina

The discussion will be moderated by Neva Weber, International PR and Media Director of AIFW, and will take place in the lobby of the ArtScience Museum with free admission.

Additionally, the event will feature a pop-up store where attendees can explore Epson’s dye-sublimation textile printers, the SureColor F6430 and F130. This segment will also showcase a range of cut, print, and press processes on items such as hats, T-shirts, and canvas shoes, demonstrated using Cricut EasyPress 3 and Cricut Maker 3.

Event details

The event will take place at the ArtScience Museum, located at 6 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore. It will commence at 7:30 PM on June 7 and continue from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on June 8 and 9. Tickets for VIP and general admission are available for purchase on Eventbrite.
