Samsung to introduce a new Galaxy Watch7 model to compete with the Apple Watch Ultra

Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra on July 10, featuring a squarish design and enhanced features to rival the Apple Watch Ultra.

Samsung is reportedly preparing to unveil a third model in its Galaxy Watch7 series this year, aimed directly at competing with the Watch Ultra. The Galaxy Watch7 Ultra is set to stand out with its unique design and advanced features, offering a compelling alternative to its competitors.

The Galaxy Watch7 Ultra comes with a fresh design and a host of enhanced features, including a new physical button, enlarged speakers, and newly designed watch bands, all of which contribute to its robust appearance. In collaboration with @SmartPrix, tipster @OnLeaks has released several renders purportedly showcasing the new Samsung Galaxy Watch7 Ultra. This addition marks a departure from the earlier models of the series. Unlike the current Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic, the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra is designed with a squarish frame rather than the traditional circular design. This model includes a new physical button, enlarged speakers, and newly designed watch bands, all contributing to its intriguing and robust appearance.

The watch maintains the signature rotating bezel and rounded display that are synonymous with Samsung’s Galaxy watches. The display is reported to measure the exact 1.5 inches in diameter as that of the Galaxy Watch6 Classic. However, the new aesthetic choices lend the upcoming model a more substantial, pronounced look.

Innovative additions mirroring its Apple counterpart

Additional details from the renders highlight a third circular button situated between the two standard buttons. This button is expected to perform functions similar to the Action button found on the Ultra, providing users with more control and convenience. The back of the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra features a redesigned sensor layout, closely resembling that of the Apple Watch series. This new layout includes two button-like switches positioned at the top and bottom, which seem to facilitate the removal of the watch bands. Moreover, the speaker grills have been enlarged, likely to enhance sound quality.

According to reliable sources, Samsung is anticipated to officially reveal the Galaxy Watch7 lineup at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10.
