Samsung is celebrating the Paris 2024 Olympics by gifting 17,000 Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition smartphones to athletes and senior Olympic committee executives at the Olympic and Paralympic Village.

The special Olympic edition

When Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip6, it also introduced a particular Paris 2024 Olympic version. This smartphone boasts the same impressive features as the regular version, including Galaxy AI and the new Auto Zoom. These updates are part of Samsungโ€™s flagship foldable flip phone for 2024. However, what sets this edition apart is its unique Olympic-themed design and enhanced software tailored for the Games.

Features and perks for athletes

The Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition comes preinstalled with several official Olympics apps, making it easier for athletes to stay connected and informed. Additionally, it includes an eSIM with 100GB of 5G mobile data and a complimentary public transport access card. These features are designed to help Olympic athletes navigate the event and communicate with fellow competitors and officials.

Samsung’s Olympic partnership history

Samsung has been a worldwide Olympic partner since 1998, and this is not the first time they have released Olympic editions of their flagship phones. Previous models include the Galaxy S7 Edge, the Galaxy Note8, the Galaxy S10+, and the Galaxy Z Flip3. These editions offered unique features and designs to celebrate the Olympic Games, continuing Samsung’s tradition of supporting athletes and the Olympic community.
