Salesforce unveils new AI innovations for improved productivity

Salesforce introduces new AI features in Slack and Tableau, with autonomous AI agents helping businesses boost productivity across various sectors.

Salesforce has introduced a range of autonomous AI innovations to boost productivity across its ecosystem. These updates include advancements in its well-known platforms, Slack and Tableau, designed to help businesses streamline tasks and enhance employee efficiency.

The latest innovations aim to improve employee workflows by embedding AI agents that assist in performing various business tasks. These autonomous AI agents, collectively known as Agentforce, are integrated into different areas such as service, sales, marketing, and commerce.

Industry-specific AI solutions

Salesforce’s Industries AI provides over 100 pre-built and customisable AI capabilities designed to address the unique challenges of different sectors. Industries AI is embedded across all 15 of Salesforce’s industry clouds, offering businesses AI solutions that can be tailored to their specific needs.

Businesses face significant pressure to adopt AI quickly, with executive urgency around AI growing by 700% in the last six months. However, creating and training AI models can be prohibitively expensive, costing up to US$100 million in some cases. Salesforce addresses this challenge by offering ready-to-use AI tools that help businesses reduce time-consuming tasks.

The Industries AI system also enables companies to use industry-specific data models, such as records or telematics systems, to generate relevant and meaningful insights. Additionally, Salesforce launched the AI Use Case Library, offering over 100 use cases for its AI capabilities, providing businesses with detailed resources to deploy AI in their operations.

Salesforce’s Agentforce agents are also set to expand their reach into various industries soon, offering companies an easy way to set up autonomous agents that work around the clock to handle industry-specific tasks.

Enhancements in Tableau Einstein and Slack

Tableau Einstein, the AI-powered version of Salesforce’s data visualisation platform, offers new features to speed up the process of turning data into actionable insights. This latest release includes autonomous agents designed to assist users in understanding their data and making decisions in real time.

Tableau Einstein allows users to interact with their data through natural language, making data analysis more accessible. With agents like Tableau Agent and Pulse, users can receive AI-generated insights and visualisations directly in the applications they work with. Tableau’s new features include a composable architecture, enabling businesses to build customised analytical tools that integrate across different departments and workflows.

Slack, another key platform within the Salesforce ecosystem, has also received major AI-driven updates. The latest Slack features are designed to bring company data, AI agents, and automation into one unified workspace. Agentforce is now available within Slack, enabling users to engage with data and complete tasks directly within the platform.

The platform will also support third-party AI agents, including those from Adobe and Anthropic, which can be deployed in the same secure environment. New features, such as improved search capabilities and simplified automation, help teams work more effectively. Slack templates are also available, offering pre-built workflows to help departments execute tasks faster.

A new era of AI in the workplace

Commenting on these innovations, Gavin Barfield, Vice President & Chief Technology Officer at Salesforce , said, “We are moving into a new world of autonomous AI with agents augmenting humans at work. Salesforce is helping ASEAN businesses, regardless of their size and industry, capture the AI opportunity with our next-generation autonomous AI innovations across the ecosystem.”

By incorporating AI agents directly into workflows, Salesforce aims to provide businesses with tools that can significantly increase productivity while maintaining the reliability of trusted data. The new AI-driven features are expected to help organisations across various sectors boost efficiency and achieve greater success.
