Pokemon TCG Pocket unveils Mythical Island pack with Mew EX and more

Discover Pokemon TCG Pocket's Mythical Island pack with Mew EX and 80+ cards, launching December 17 with a stunning island theme.

Pokemon TCG Pocket has announced the release of its latest expansion, the Mythical Island pack, which is set to bring a fresh wave of excitement to players worldwide. This new booster pack, launching on December 17, showcases the legendary Psychic-type Mew in its EX form, along with over 80 new cards inspired by an enchanting island theme.

Explore the wonders of the Mythical Island

The Mythical Island expansion introduces a captivating mix of basic and rare Pokemon cards. You’ll find Dedenne, Morelull, and Snivy among the basic Pokemon, while the rarer additions include Vaporeon, Celebi, Aerodactyl EX, and the much-anticipated Mew EX. These cards reflect the island’s diverse habitats, from lush forests to serene lakes and rugged plateaus.

In addition to the five EX cards, the pack features five new Trainer cards designed to enhance your gameplay experience. To complement the expansion, Pokemon TCG Pocket also offers themed accessories like binders and display boards, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in the island vibe.

Solo battle events and exclusive rewards

A special solo battle event is being held to celebrate Mythical Island’s release. In this event, you’ll face challenging decks built around cards such as Mew EX, Mewtwo EX, Aerodactyl EX, and Marowak EX. Winning these battles can earn you exciting rewards, including Shinedust, Pack Hourglass, and Shop tickets.

If you’re eager to build your collection, the Mythical Island cards will be available through booster packs or the game’s Wonder Pick feature. While the developers haven’t confirmed if the expansion will be a permanent part of the game, its release marks a significant addition to the Pokemon TCG Pocket universe.

What’s next for Pokemon TCG Pocket?

The Mythical Island pack is the second major expansion for the game, following the original release, which included the Genetic Apex pack, featuring fan-favourite Pokemon like Charizard, Pikachu, and Mewtwo.

Players can look forward to even more booster packs before the end of 2024. Additionally, the team has teased the launch of a new feature in January 2025, allowing you to exchange cards with other players—a long-awaited addition to the game.

The global release of the Mythical Island expansion is set for December 17. Although no official release time has been provided, updates for Pokemon TCG Pocket typically go live around 2 pm (SGT), so you can expect the new cards to be available then.

With its enchanting theme and the iconic Mew EX taking centre stage, the Mythical Island expansion promises to deliver an unforgettable experience for Pokemon TCG Pocket fans.
