OPPO unveils Find X8 and Find X8 Pro with Hasselblad cameras, enhanced performance, and ColorOS 15

Discover OPPOโ€™s Find X8 Series with Hasselblad cameras, AI features, and ColorOS 15. Available globally with premium design and cutting-edge tech.

OPPO launched its highly anticipated Find X8 and Find X8 Pro smartphones worldwide. These flagship devices bring significant advancements in camera technology, battery performance, and software with the debut of ColorOS 15. Pete Lau, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer at OPPO, stated, โ€œWith Find X8 Series, we have broken through barriers that have held smartphones back for generations.โ€

The Find X8 Series showcases OPPOโ€™s commitment to cutting-edge technology and design. From advanced AI features to an elegant, durable build, these smartphones aim to redefine user experience for creativity, productivity, and everyday tasks.

Premium design with durability and immersive displays

Both models feature a sleek aluminium and glass construction with a unique Cosmos Ring design, providing a premium yet comfortable grip. The Find X8 has a compact 6.59-inch display with a lightweight 193g frame, while the Find X8 Pro boasts an expansive 6.78-inch Infinite View Display, enhanced by quad-curved glass for a seamless look and feel.

The devices are highly durable, with IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, alongside Swiss SGS and Military Grade certifications. These features ensure protection against drops, submersion, and other environmental challenges.

The displays deliver vivid visuals with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1600 nits peak brightness. The Find X8 Series also introduces ultra-thin bezelsโ€”1.45mm for the Find X8 and 1.9mm for the Pro modelโ€”offering a nearly edge-to-edge viewing experience. Eye comfort is prioritised through TรœV Rheinland Eye Comfort 4.0 certification, making long viewing sessions more comfortable.

Hasselblad cameras and AI-powered imaging

OPPO collaborated with Hasselblad to create the Master Camera System for the Find X8 Series. Both devices feature all-50MP camera setups. The Find X8 offers a versatile 15mm, 24mm, and 73mm camera mix, while the Pro model includes a quad-camera system with a 135mm periscope lens for extended zoom capabilities.

The Pro model is also the first smartphone globally to include two periscope cameras, allowing for smooth, gapless zoom. With Hasselblad Portrait Mode and AI Telescope Zoom, the Find X8 Pro enables users to capture professional-quality portraits and detailed images up to 60x zoom. Additional features such as Lightning Snap provide high-speed photography with sharp results.

Both models support Dolby Vision HDR video recording at 4K and 60fps, offering creators an exceptional tool for professional-grade content.

Power, performance, and connectivity

The Find X8 Series is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, offering a 35% faster CPU and 41% faster GPU performance compared to previous models. OPPOโ€™s Trinity Engine and advanced cooling systems ensure sustained performance for gaming and multitasking.

With OPPOโ€™s AI LinkBoost, the phones maintain strong connectivity even in challenging environments. This feature is particularly effective in crowded settings like stadiums, where video uploads are 79% faster, or in low-signal areas such as basements.

Advanced battery life and fast charging

The Find X8 and Find X8 Pro feature high-capacity batteries, 5630mAh and 5910mAh respectively, using pioneering silicon-carbon technology for extended usage. Both devices support 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. Users can also opt for the OPPO Mag Charge case for magnetic charging convenience.

ColorOS 15 and smart AI tools

ColorOS 15 debuts on the Find X8 Series, bringing a refined design and enhanced functionality. The interface includes features like AI Clarity Enhance, which sharpens low-resolution images, and AI Reflection Remover to eliminate glare from photos. Productivity tools such as AI Notes and AI Writer streamline tasks, while seamless file sharing across devices is enabled with Touch to Share.

Pricing and availability

The Find X8 Series is available in Singapore from 21 November 2024. The Find X8 (28GB + 512GB) is priced at S$1,249 in Star Grey, Space Black, and Shell Pink, while the Find X8 Pro (28GB + 512GB) is available at S$1,499 in Pearl White and Space Black.
