OPPO shines at UEFA Champions League Final with advanced tech showcases

OPPO enhances the UEFA Champions League final with advanced technology, engaging fans globally and supporting youth football through charity.

The UEFA Champions League final at London’s Wembley Stadium featured an exciting display of technology intertwined with top-tier football, courtesy of OPPO, the event’s Official Global Partner. The highlight was the OPPO Find X7 Ultra, the brand’s flagship smartphone, which was used to capture and celebrate key moments from the game, including the crowning of the 2024 UEFA Champions League winners.

The Find X7 Ultra is renowned for its superior imaging capabilities, enabling users to capture and relive vivid moments from their favourite football matches. A significant feature of the final was the large screen inside Wembley Stadium, where photographs taken by fans with OPPO devices and chosen from the OPPO imagine IF Photography Awards’ “What A Shot” category were exhibited, delighting a global audience.

Engaging fans with celebrity appearances and immersive activities

The celebrations at the OPPO Hospitality Lounge were enhanced by the presence of OPPO’s global brand ambassador, Kaká, who participated in a variety of activities and mingled with fans, alongside a special guest magician. In addition to this, the OPPO Booth at Potters Field Park brought extended UEFA Champions League experiences to a wider audience of football fans.

“It’s inspiring to see OPPO’s industry-leading mobile imaging technologies continue to elevate the experience for football fans and enable them to capture countless inspiring moments both on and off the pitch during the past two seasons of the UEFA Champions League,” said Billy Zhang, President of Overseas MKT, and Service at OPPO.

Amplifying fan experiences with innovative technology

The OPPO Hospitality Lounge, located within the Champions Village, was a hub of activity with its interactive on-site experiences. Fans could immerse themselves in the intense atmosphere of the competition through various OPPO x UEFA themed spaces, enjoy relaxing games, and explore the latest OPPO technologies. The OPPO x UEFA Imaging Zone was particularly popular, offering guests a glimpse of the most stunning moments of this year’s tournament, captured up-close by UEFA Champions League photographers using the latest OPPO smartphones.

The fun continued at the OPPO Booth in the Champions Festival at Potters Field Park, where attendees could feel like part of the final action between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid by having their pictures taken on replica team benches with the OPPO Find X7 Ultra. The booth also showcased the new OPPO Reno11 F and its innovative generative AI photo editing tool, OPPO AI Eraser.

“It’s been another fantastic year of partnership with OPPO, engaging fans with cutting-edge imaging technology and greater access to the UEFA Champions League,” said Guillaume Sabran, Head of Sponsorship and Licensing at UEFA.

Supporting football’s future through charity initiatives

In the lead-up to the final, OPPO and the UEFA Champions League organised a charity football match on May 30 in London, featuring Indonesian players alongside football legends Kaká, Roberto Carlos, Clarence Seedorf, and Robert Pirès. Following the match, the jerseys worn were signed and auctioned, including a special jersey featuring signatures from all legendary and Indonesian players, with the proceeds going towards the development of youth football in Indonesia.

This event not only celebrated the shared passion for the sport but also underscored OPPO’s commitment to sports philanthropy, aiming to inspire and support young footballers with the necessary resources to chase their dreams.

Through its ongoing partnership with the UEFA Champions League, OPPO remains dedicated to pushing the boundaries of AI and mobile imaging technology, helping fans worldwide to more deeply engage with the excitement of world-class sports events.
