LG unveils 2025 ‘xboom by will.i.am’ audio products with signature sound and AI features

LG unveils the 'xboom by will.i.am' audio lineup at CES 2025, featuring AI-powered Bluetooth speakers and earbuds with signature sound.

LG Electronics has officially introduced its new ‘xboom by will.i.am’ audio product range at CES 2025. The collection, created in collaboration with multi-platinum musician and tech entrepreneur will.i.am, includes Bluetooth speakers and earbuds designed to deliver a refined listening experience powered by AI and signature sound engineering.

This partnership follows LG’s appointment of will.i.am as the ‘Experiential Architect’ for the xboom brand in December. The collaboration aims to blend technology with creativity, offering users a unique fusion of sound quality, artistic design, and AI capabilities.

“Working with renowned tech and lifestyle innovator, LG, opens the door to groundbreaking and dynamic experiences that speak to a broader community of music enthusiasts,” said will.i.am. “By bringing our cutting-edge technology and distinctive creative visions together with LG xboom, we want to foster an iconic culture where people can explore their passion for music with others on a whole new level.”

Advanced AI and signature sound

All ‘xboom by will.i.am’ products feature the xboom signature sound, characterised by a more balanced audio profile with warmer tones. Each device is professionally tuned by will.i.am, reflecting his deep understanding of audio engineering and pop culture trends.

The smart Bluetooth speaker family includes the xboom Bounce, Grab, and Stage 301 models. Each speaker is equipped with AI Sound, AI Lighting, and AI Calibration, which automatically optimise audio performance based on content and surroundings. A dedicated RAiDiO.FYI button allows users to access AI-curated infotainment content directly.

LE Audio Auracast enables seamless synchronisation across multiple xboom devices, delivering consistent audio output even without smartphone support. Peerless, a renowned Danish audio transducer manufacturer, has contributed to the speakers’ sound performance with built-in tweeters and full-range units.

The xboom Bounce stands out with its innovative up-bouncing passive radiators, dual dome tweeters, and track-type woofer, providing a wide soundstage with crystal-clear highs. The portable speaker features a versatile strap for easy handling and an IP67 water and dust resistance rating. Its battery lasts up to 30 hours, making it perfect for extended outdoor use.

The xboom Grab delivers powerful sound in a compact design. Dual passive radiators ensure dynamic bass, and the device’s slim profile allows it to fit into cup holders or water bottle cages. With an IP67 rating and up to 20 hours of battery life, the Grab is designed for adventure and portability.

For larger gatherings, the xboom Stage 301 transforms any setting into a performance space. It features a 6.5-inch woofer, dual 2.5-inch midrange drivers, and a replaceable battery offering up to 11 hours of playtime. With flexible positioning options and an IPX4 water resistance rating, the Stage 301 is ideal for busking or karaoke sessions.

Completing the lineup are the xboom Buds, engineered with lightweight graphene drivers for clear, well-balanced sound and deep bass. They feature Active Noise Cancelling technology and ergonomic ear tips for a snug fit. LE Audio Auracast allows users to share audio streams across multiple devices, while the charging case extends battery life to 30 hours.

A shared vision for the future

“The xboom by will.i.am line marks the beginning of a dynamic, collaborative journey for the xboom brand and will.i.am, and we are more than thrilled to showcase the first fruits of our partnership at this year’s CES,” said Lee Jeong-seok, head of LG Media Entertainment Solution Company’s audio business division. “Beginning with the new xboom line, we will continuously aim to elevate every aspect of the listening experience.”
