LG partners with Artlume to bring digital art to smart TVs

LG and Artlume bring over 15,000 digital artworks, including classics and AI-generated pieces, to LG smart TVs, creating home art galleries.

LG Electronics has teamed up with Artlume, an innovative digital art and AI platform, to elevate the home viewing experience by bringing an extensive collection of art to LG smart TVs. This partnership allows LG TV users to explore a vast range of digital artworks, turning their screens into personal art galleries.

With over 200 million LG smart TVs in homes globally, this collaboration aims to make art more accessible and enjoyable for all. Artlumeโ€™s collection, featuring more than 15,000 pieces, includes iconic classics, contemporary photography, and AI-generated art, alongside works from esteemed institutions such as the Ashmolean Museum. This new feature is available on LG TVs running webOS 6.0 and above, covering models released in 2020 and later.

Explore and personalise your art experience

Through the Artlume platform, LG TV owners can create bespoke art playlists using the mobile app. Users can tailor their selections to suit their mood or aesthetic preferences, seamlessly displaying their chosen pieces on the big screen. The collectionโ€™s breadth means thereโ€™s something for everyone, from timeless masterpieces to cutting-edge AI-generated works.

Artlume also provides tools for creating unique art. Its AI-powered features let users design original pieces by inputting simple word prompts. These personalised creations can then be showcased on LG smart TVs, giving users a creative and interactive way to engage with art.

โ€œLG is the perfect partner for us, aligned with our goal to bring love, beauty and passion to peopleโ€™s lives through the universal language of art,โ€ said Patrick Ashworth, founder and CEO of Artlume. โ€œWe are committed to leaving a profound positive impact on humanity by educating future generations, supporting mental health through the beauty of art, and sharing museum art with the world.โ€

A step forward in digital art accessibility

Chris Jo, senior vice president of platform business at LG Media Entertainment Solution Company, highlighted the companyโ€™s mission to redefine art experiences in everyday life. โ€œThrough this partnership with Artlume, we are bringing a wide array of incredible art to LG smart TVs, enriching living spaces,โ€ he said.

This collaboration is part of LGโ€™s broader strategy to partner with leaders in the arts and technology industries. By making art easily accessible from the comfort of home, LG aims to enhance the way users engage with culture and creativity.

LGโ€™s integration of Artlume aligns with a growing trend of using technology to democratise art. Whether you are an art enthusiast or someone looking to add a touch of elegance to your living room, this partnership offers a compelling way to experience the beauty and inspiration of art.
