LG launches global music festival with Boom Boom Pow Festa powered by XBOOM

LG launches Boom Boom Pow Festa, a global music festival powered by XBOOM speakers, featuring street performers reimagining the hit "Boom Boom Pow."

LG Electronics has kicked off a new marketing campaign centred around its high-performance LG XBOOM speakers. The campaign features Boom Boom Pow Festa, a global music festival inspired by the hit song “Boom Boom Pow” by the Black Eyed Peas. The 2009 track, which topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for 12 consecutive weeks, remains a party anthem and is now being reimagined through the creative interpretations of street performers from across the globe.

Performers from nine different countries will deliver unique renditions of the famous track, all amplified by LG’s powerful XBOOM party speakers. This event brings together the best of music and technology, offering a fresh experience for fans of both. Alongside street performers, the festival will also feature rising global stars, including Delacruz from Brazil, who will perform at Rio de Janeiro’s famous Escadaria Selarón.

Virtual concert to be streamed live

For those unable to attend the live events, the performances will be streamed via LG’s Global channel. Set for 6 October 2024 at 1:00 AM KST, the virtual concert will run for 45 minutes and showcase the various musical talents involved. Along with live performances, fans can look forward to behind-the-scenes , where artists will reveal how they incorporated LG XBOOM’s dynamic power and energy into their performances.

LG XBOOM speakers are known for their loud, vibrant audio, and the Boom Boom Pow Festa provides the perfect stage to highlight these qualities. Videos of each performance and backstage footage will be available online, offering audiences a glimpse into the creative process behind the reimagination of “Boom Boom Pow.” The concert promises to be an immersive audio experience, demonstrating the sound capabilities of the XBOOM range.

Social media campaign and XBOOM features

LG’s marketing push doesn’t stop at the music festival. The company is expanding the campaign to TikTok with a “Boom Boom Pow” dance challenge, inviting users to show off their dance skills. Popular creators will participate, with fans encouraged to join in and replicate the same level of energy that the XBOOM speakers deliver.

Different models of LG XBOOM speakers will be showcased throughout the campaign. These include the robust XBOOM XL9T2 tower speaker, which boasts dual 8-inch woofers and the unique Pixel LED Lighting feature that displays colourful patterns, visual effects, and custom graphics. The XBOOM app allows users to personalise these lighting effects, creating synchronised light shows that bring an extra dimension to any event.

Other models, like the portable XBOOM Go XG8T2 and XG2T2, are built to endure tough conditions with their MIL-SPEC and IP67 ratings. These compact speakers offer over 10 hours of playback time, making them reliable for outdoor parties or long trips.

LG’s optimistic vision

LG Electronics is not only showcasing its powerful speaker lineup but also promoting its optimistic “Life’s Good” philosophy through this campaign. The idea is to inspire people with positive energy, aligning with the feel-good vibe of the music and the global nature of the festival.

Lee Jeong-Seok, Head of LG’s audio business, commented on the broader goal of the campaign: “We aim to inspire hope for a better life and future with our optimistic ‘Life’s Good’ philosophy, which closely aligns with the positive energy of music and is the driving force behind our Boom Boom Pow Festa and XBOOM campaign. Through a variety of engaging marketing activities, we will continue to highlight the powerful sound of LG XBOOM and raise the profile of our unique speaker brand in the global market.”

As LG continues to engage with global audiences through music and technology, the Boom Boom Pow Festa sets the tone for future campaigns centred on sound innovation and audience interaction.
