Lenovo launches new AI-driven ThinkSystem V4 with Intel

Lenovo unveils the ThinkSystem V4 portfolio, powered by Intel Xeon 6 processors, enhancing AI-driven performance and system management for diverse business needs.

Lenovo has introduced its latest series of ThinkSystem V4 portfolios, leveraging the power of Intel Xeon 6 processors to significantly enhance AI-driven performance across various business sectors. This innovative lineup is set to revolutionize the way AI is integrated into daily business operations by offering a flexible solution tailored to diverse workload requirements.

Advancements in AI capabilities and system management

The new portfolio includes AI-optimised solutions designed to effortlessly integrate AI into user workflows, thereby enhancing operational decision-making, management efficiency, and overall productivity. These systems are purpose-built to maximise performance and efficiency, targeting specific business needs.

Moreover, Lenovo has also upgraded its systems management solutions with Generative AI technologies, which streamline the deployment and configuration processes across extended computing networks. This marks a significant step towards simplifying the management of complex systems and supports the growth of enterprise-specific data utilisation.

Boosting performance and sustainability

Lenovo’s collaboration with Intel has yielded a series of servers that not only advance processing capabilities but also focus on environmental sustainability. The ThinkSystem SD520 V4 server, for example, offers unprecedented rack density and efficiency, enhancing web transaction throughput by up to 3.18 times. This is ideal for sectors like online banking and e-commerce, where rapid data processing is crucial.

The ThinkSystem SR630 V4 server redefines cloud-scale, Telco 5G Core, and e-commerce workloads by optimising performance per rack, achieving up to 42% faster media transcoding. This server incorporates Intelโ€™s E-Core technology to reduce power consumption while maximising output, making it a powerhouse for Telco Core applications.

Lenovo is also extending its leadership in energy-efficient computing with its Neptune Liquid-cooling technology. This innovation reduces power consumption by up to 40%, demonstrating Lenovoโ€™s commitment to sustainable technological advancement.

Embracing the new era of AI

The ThinkSystem V4 range exemplifies Lenovo’s vision of ‘Smarter AI for All’, facilitating an inclusive, equitable, and accessible AI environment throughout all stages of development and application. The combination of Lenovo’s purpose-built engineering and the Intel Xeon 6 processors significantly enhances AI accessibility and workload management across various scales.

Sumir Bhatia, President of Lenovo ISG AP, remarked on the long-standing partnership with Intel, emphasising their joint effort in transforming data centres through innovative technologies. “This next-gen infrastructure embodies our vision of ‘Smarter AI for All,’ offering unmatched performance and accessibility to help businesses leverage hybrid AI infrastructure and maximise data value,” Bhatia stated.

Kumar Mitra, Managing Director and Regional General Manager, CAP & ANZ, Lenovo ISG, also highlighted the transformative impact of AI, noting that 51% of ASEAN organisations view AI as a game-changer. “As CAP businesses scale AI, Lenovo leads with our ThinkSystem V4 portfolio, setting new standards in performance, processing power, and reduced energy consumption,” Mitra explained.

As the era of AI evolves, Lenovo continues to innovate, providing secure, scalable, and efficient solutions that empower businesses to harness the full potential of AI technology.
