Leaks suggest Galaxy AI is coming to the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE leaks reveal an October 2024 release featuring Galaxy AI, Exynos 2400e, and a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor.

If youโ€™re watching Samsungโ€™s latest releases, you might want to keep your ears open for the Galaxy S24 FE. According to recent leaks, this budget-friendly alternative to the premium Galaxy S24 series is expected to hit the market in October 2024. The news comes from an exclusive report by Android Headlines, which provided an early look at the features you can expect from the Galaxy S24 FE.

What to expect from the Galaxy S24 FE

Samsungโ€™s Galaxy S24 FE is rumoured to be powered by the Exynos 2400e processor. This marks the third time Samsung has chosen to use its chipset for its FE series, continuing the trend of the Galaxy S21 FE. Although earlier rumours suggested that the phone might feature the Exynos 2400 processor, it appears that Samsung has opted for the 2400e instead.

One of the most exciting features of the Galaxy S24 FE is its inclusion of Galaxy AI. This technology, also featured in the mainline Galaxy S24 series, is set to be a game-changer for the FE model. The AI suite includes Portrait Studio, Generative Edit, Circle to Search, Sketch to Image, and Live Translate, offering a host of new tools at your fingertips. These features hint that the Galaxy S24 FE will likely ship with One UI 6.1.1, based on Android 14, giving you the latest software straight out of the box.

Design, colours, and camera specs

When it comes to design, the Galaxy S24 FE is expected to offer five colours: Graphite, Blue, Silver/White, Green, and Yellow. However, availability may vary depending on your region. Additionally, Samsung is known for offering exclusive colours for those who purchase directly from their online store, so you might find even more options if you shop through official channels.

The hardware specs of the Galaxy S24 FE have also been leaked, providing further insight into what you can expect. The phone features a 6.7-inch display with a peak brightness of up to 1,900 nits, ensuring your screen remains vibrant and clear even in bright sunlight. The battery is rumoured to be a 4,565mAh unit, offering plenty of power to get you through the day.

The Galaxy S24 FE’s camera setup is another highlight. Leaked images suggest a triple rear camera system, with a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. This combination should allow you to capture many photos, from detailed close-ups to expansive landscapes.

A bit of history in the FE series

Samsungโ€™s FE (Fan Edition) series first debuted with the Galaxy S20 FE, which was powered by a Snapdragon processor. The series quickly gained popularity, offering many of the premium features of Samsungโ€™s mainline models at a more affordable price. However, Samsung decided to skip the Galaxy S22 FE to focus on producing more units of that yearโ€™s flagship phones.

The upcoming Galaxy S24 FE continues the tradition of offering high-end features at a lower price point. With its powerful processor, AI capabilities, vibrant display, and versatile camera system, it looks set to be a strong contender in the budget segment.
