Introducing the MARQ Adventurer Damascus Steel Edition

Garmin introduces the MARQ Adventurer Damascus Steel Edition, a luxury smartwatch blending ancient craftsmanship with modern navigation and health tools.

Garmin Singapore has unveiled the MARQ Adventurer Damascus Steel Edition, a luxury tool watch combining ancient craftsmanship with modern technology. Made from Damascus steel, renowned for its strength and unique patterns, this timepiece showcases a sophisticated AMOLED touchscreen display, a domed sapphire lens, and a 360-degree compass bezel. With an impressive battery life of up to 16 days in smartwatch mode and 42 hours in GPS mode, it’s built to accompany you on every adventure.

“Damascus steel is an incredibly unique material, and we are thrilled to incorporate it into our newest MARQ tool watch. This one-of-a-kind timepiece uses handcrafted materials for those who value sophisticated style and elevated designs. Combining this exquisite material with Garmin’s superior navigation, performance and connected features, MARQ Adventurer – Damascus Steel Edition is the pinnacle of craftsmanship,” said Mr Scoppen Lin, Assistant General Manager, Garmin Asia.

Reviving an ancient craft for modern explorers

For over a thousand years, Damascus steel has been celebrated for its exceptional durability and distinctive patterns. Garmin has reimagined this ancient material for the MARQ Adventurer Damascus Steel Edition, blending historical craftsmanship with advanced engineering.

The watch case and bezel are crafted from 10 alternating layers of steel, repeatedly heated, forged, and elongated to create a block of 80 layers. The steel is then twisted, etched, and machined to reveal unique patterns, ensuring no two timepieces are identical.

This luxurious design is paired with a sweat- and stain-resistant hybrid leather and FKM rubber strap for durability and comfort. The watch also features an engraved 360-degree compass on the bezel, providing precise directional guidance for outdoor enthusiasts.

The MARQ Adventurer Damascus Steel Edition maintains Garmin’s signature commitment to battery life, offering up to 16 days of use in smartwatch mode. When it’s time to recharge, the magnetic charger can fully restore the battery in just one hour.

The Damascus Steel Edition joins the MARQ (Gen 2) lineup, which already includes timepieces made from Grade 5 Titanium for lightweight durability and Fused Carbon Fibre for enhanced performance. This new addition brings a unique blend of elegance and rugged reliability.
