Honor Magic V3 foldable smartphone debuts in Singapore

Honor Magic V3 debuts in Singapore. It offers a slim 9.2mm foldable design, strong durability, and AI features. Pre-order bonuses are available.

Honor has unveiled its latest innovation, the Magic V3, one of the slimmest book-style foldable smartphones on the market. This cutting-edge device, now available in Singapore, brings impressive enhancements to an already sleek design and robust durability features.

The new Honor Magic V3 measures just 9.2mm when folded, a noticeable reduction from its previous version, which was 9.9mm. Honor credits this achievement to using 19 new materials and 114 “microstructures” that allow for a thinner yet more durable design while maintaining top-tier components.

One of the key materials used in the design is Special Fiber, which forms the backplate of the Magic V3. This material not only reduces the thickness of the back cover by 36%, but it also boosts its impact resistance, claiming to be 40 times stronger than the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Honor’s Super Steel Hinge, a key feature of the Magic V3, has passed the SGS Durability Certification, withstanding up to 500,000 folding cycles. The display is protected by Honor’s Super Armored Inner Screen and Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield, ensuring the phone remains in top condition even with heavy use.

Cutting-edge software and AI

The Honor Magic V3 runs on Android 14 with the brand’s own MagicOS 8.0.1 interface. This operating system has AI-powered features that enhance both the on-device and cloud-based experiences.

Among the standout features is the Honor AI Eraser, which is similar to Google’s Magic Eraser and allows you to remove unwanted objects from images using generative AI. Another feature, Face to Face Translation, offers real-time translation for conversations, relying on Google’s AI models. Honor Notes is another highlight, using Google Cloud’s services to provide voice-to-text translation and user identification. Magic Portal offers automatic app recommendations based on the content you create, adding to the phone’s user-friendly experience.

Designed for functionality and photography

The Honor Magic V3’s unique foldable design comes with a tailored user interface that maximises the benefits of its form. The home screen offers habit-based app recommendations, while Parallel Space allows you to run dual-space apps, essentially giving you the experience of using two phones simultaneously. Magic Capsule is another clever feature that provides extra notification pop-ups at the top of the device.

In terms of hardware, the Magic V3 is every bit a flagship device. It is powered by ‘s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and boasts a large 5,150mAh battery. The display uses an LTPO AMOLED panel with a power-efficient 1Hz refresh rate. While stylus support is included, the stylus is sold separately.

Pricing, availability, and promotions in Singapore

The Honor Magic V3 is available in Singapore for S$1,999. It features a single configuration of 12GB RAM and 512GB storage and is available in three colours: Mossy Green, Silk Brown, and Classic Black. If you purchase the device during the official sales period, you’ll receive bonuses worth S$608. These include the Honor SuperCharge Wireless Charger Stand and the same 365-day front and back replacement service, though the smartwatch will no longer be part of the offer.

Additionally, with every purchase of the Honor Magic V3, you are entitled to buy the Honor Magic Pen stylus at a discounted price of S$59, down from its usual price of S$159.
