Hitachi EverFlex enhances IT operations with hybrid cloud solutions

Hitachi EverFlex's new IaaS portfolio offers cost-effective, AI-driven hybrid cloud solutions, helping businesses manage and scale their IT operations efficiently.

Hitachi Vantara, the IT arm of Hitachi Ltd., has launched its latest generation of the Hitachi EverFlex infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) portfolio. This new offering is designed to help businesses streamline their IT operations by providing scalable and cost-efficient hybrid solutions. Hitachi EverFlex leverages AI-driven automation and flexible service models to address the growing needs of enterprises, aiming to improve IT capacity management while lowering costs.

As the demand for hybrid cloud environments continues to grow, many companies are seeking consumption-based IT models that offer flexibility, lower total cost of ownership (TCO), and simpler management processes. Industry analysts predict that the global IaaS market could rise from US$156.93 billion in 2024 to US$738.11 billion by 2032. In response, Hitachi EverFlex provides adaptable solutions that align with evolving market needs, helping enterprises optimise their IT infrastructure without making significant upfront investments.

A solution for modern IT challenges

Hitachi EverFlex addresses several key pain points for organisations, such as unpredictable IT costs and the complexity of managing diverse IT environments. By adopting a consumption-based model, businesses can align their IT expenses with their actual usage, reducing initial capital outlays. The portfolio’s use of hyperautomation and AI helps companies rapidly identify and resolve issues before they impact operations, leading to greater and efficiency. In addition to automation, the platform offers advanced security features and helps organisations overcome IT skills shortages by enabling them to focus on strategic business initiatives.

“Hitachi EverFlex provides organisations with the ability to scale resources and achieve the efficiency that modern businesses need,” said Jeb Horton, senior vice president of global services at Hitachi Vantara. “What sets the portfolio apart is its ability to seamlessly integrate with existing IT environments regardless of vendor, providing a smoother transition to hybrid cloud operating models and ensuring that organisations can innovate without being held back by outdated infrastructure.”

Key features of Hitachi EverFlex

The new Hitachi EverFlex portfolio includes several key components designed to improve IT operations:

  • EverFlex Control: This core SaaS portal offers real-time insights, intelligent alerts, and process automation. It helps administrators and operations teams dynamically manage and scale IT resources across different infrastructures, whether they choose a self-service or fully managed model.
  • EverFlex Service Catalog: This catalogue provides modular options for services like storage-as-a-service (STaaS), data protection-as-a-service (DPaaS), and compute-as-a-service (CaaS). These options enable businesses to choose services tailored to their specific needs, helping them control costs and simplify their IT environments.
  • EverFlex Services Solutions: This includes professional services, orchestration workflows, and TCO consulting. Support for use cases such as VM-to-container conversions and private cloud solutions is also available, helping businesses adapt to various IT demands.
