Exabeam introduces Nova, an agentic AI that boosts cybersecurity operations

Exabeam unveils Nova, a proactive AI agent that boosts security team productivity and reduces incident investigation time by over 50%.

Exabeam has unveiled its latest advancement in cybersecurity automation with the launch of Exabeam Nova, a cloud-based autonomous AI agent. Designed to improve the speed and precision of security operations, Nova integrates specialised AI components across the security operations workflow, setting itself apart from standard chatbot-based assistants.

Nova is part of the Exabeam New-Scale Security Operations Platform and aims to streamline threat detection and response. According to Exabeam, the AI agent reduces investigation times by more than 50% and increases analyst productivity by up to 80%. Unlike traditional AI tools that passively gather and summarise data, Nova actively correlates multiple attack signals, classifies threats based on real-world behavioural context, and investigates cases autonomously.

“Security teams are done babysitting chatbots that rely on analysts to do the heavy lifting — they need AI that takes action and makes their jobs easier,” said Steve Wilson, Chief Product Officer at Exabeam. “As a catalyst for increased operational and organisational impact, Exabeam Nova boosts SOC productivity, reduces analyst burnout, and ensures more efficient and resilient security operations. We’re allergic to hype; Exabeam delivers true, results-driven AI that redefines what’s possible for today’s cybersecurity teams.”

Built upon the foundation of the successful Exabeam Copilot, Nova is designed to go beyond simple data processing. It analyses behavioural patterns and identifies anomalous activities, providing analysts with contextual insights that speed up response times. With its proprietary threat classification framework, Nova can distinguish between compromised insiders, malicious insiders, and uncertain threats, allowing teams to respond more accurately and efficiently.

Chris O’Malley, CEO of Exabeam, added, “Exabeam quarterly product launches are a testament to our agility and commitment to not only meet market demands but exceed them. We deliver what the industry needs, when it needs it — with these groundbreaking enhancements, Exabeam is redefining the future of security operations. Vigilant CISOs require solutions that empower security teams to move quickly and accurately. By delivering real, actionable intelligence, deep security expertise, and lightning-fast response times that improve outcomes, Exabeam is setting the bar for what’s possible in modern threat defence.”

Industry support and customer confidence

Early feedback from users and partners has been positive. Bill Lucas, Senior Director of Cybersecurity at Mastronardi Produce, praised the impact on analyst workload. “The new agentic AI feature, Exabeam Nova, is a huge step forward—it’s not just innovation for the sake of it, it’s solving real challenges for my team,” he said. “The ability to automatically generate meaningful, accurate case summaries lifts a massive burden off our analysts and gives them back time to focus on what matters most: stopping threats. I’m genuinely excited to see how Exabeam continues to lead the way in shaping a smarter, more efficient future for security operations.”

Grant Leonard, Field CISO at Lumifi, echoed this sentiment. “Our partnership with Exabeam strengthens as they continue to deliver innovative and impactful solutions. Exabeam Nova is exactly what security analysts have long hoped AI could offer, an intelligent, seamless assistant that delivers real insights quickly and accurately. Exabeam goes beyond simply providing AI for the sake of it; their solutions are designed to meet the real needs of the industry, positioning both Exabeam and their customers ahead of the competition.”

New features across Exabeam platforms

Alongside the launch of Nova, Exabeam introduced several updates across its product portfolio. On the New-Scale Platform, new tools such as True Identity and the Custom REST API Collector offer enhanced automation. True Identity consolidates multiple asset IDs and usernames into a single identity to streamline investigations, while the API Collector allows teams to integrate new data sources with ease. The addition of Bring Your Own Threat Intelligence supports the STIX/TAXII standard, enabling better threat detection and compatibility with widely used threat intelligence feeds.

Exabeam also announced an expansion of cloud availability for the New-Scale Platform, now including the United Kingdom. This marks the tenth region with in-country data residency support.

The LogRhythm SIEM Platform received major upgrades, including improved integration and visibility. Security teams can now view up to 8,000% more data with new dashboards, while an enhanced JSON listener supports log collection from a wider range of SaaS tools. Microsoft Defender log ingestion has also been improved for quicker detection and response.

NetMon, Exabeam’s network monitoring tool, now supports deep packet inspection for over 1,000 new protocols and can classify more than 5,000 applications. These enhancements help organisations detect advanced threats such as zero-day attacks, data exfiltration, and espionage activity more effectively.
