Canon unveils the imagePROGRAF PRO-510 A2 inkjet printer for creative professionals

Canon launches the imagePROGRAF PRO-510 A2 printer with advanced pigment inks, delivering superior photo quality and durability with eco-friendly packaging.

Canon has introduced the imagePROGRAF PRO-510 A2 Professional Photo Printer, designed for photographers and graphic artists who require exceptional print quality. The printer is equipped with advanced ink technology to produce long-lasting, high-quality images. The LUCIA PRO II pigment inks offer excellent lightfastness and improved scratch resistance, ensuring that artworks and photographs can be preserved for the long term.

“The imagePROGRAF PRO-510 A2 Professional Photo Printer is well suited for creative professionals to enhance the brilliance of their prints. In addition to accurate colour reproduction with its 12-colour ink system, users can be assured of sharp details and smooth gradients with high resolution,” said David Yeo, Senior Marketing Manager of Consumer Business, Singapore Operations, Canon Singapore.

Enhanced colour reproduction and fine detail

The printerโ€™s standout feature is its ability to reproduce a wide range of colours, especially in darker areas, making it ideal for fine art photography. The PRO-510โ€™s 12-colour ink system includes specific inks such as red, blue, and two shades of grey, enabling richer colour expression and deeper contrasts.

For glossy and semi-glossy papers, the Chroma Optimizer ink ensures consistent gloss across various lighting conditions and viewing angles, while also enhancing depth and subtlety in darker areas. When using fine art paper, the matte black ink increases black density and contrast, allowing photographers and artists to produce results comparable to Canon’s top-tier imagePROGRAF series. These advancements greatly expand the colour range and detail possible in photographic and artistic works.

Durability and eco-friendly packaging

Durability is a key focus of the imagePROGRAF PRO-510. Canon’s new pigment ink formulation, which provides superior light and scratch resistance, allows prints to last up to 200 years when properly stored. This is especially important for artists and photographers who want their work to retain its quality over generations. The improved scratch resistance also helps during handling, such as framing, packaging, and transportation, reducing the likelihood of damage.

Canon has also taken steps to reduce environmental impact by changing the printer’s packaging. Instead of the usual polystyrene foam, recyclable cardboard is now used, reducing plastic waste. This eco-friendly approach contributes to a more sustainable packaging solution.

Pricing and availability

The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-510 A2 printer is now available at Canon’s authorised dealers for S$1,999. With its combination of advanced ink technology, durability, and environmentally conscious packaging, the PRO-510 offers a reliable and long-lasting solution for creative professionals who demand the highest quality prints.
