Asus unveils NUC 14 Pro AI: The first mini PC with Copilot Plus support

Asus has revealed the Asus NUC 14 Pro AI, the world’s first mini PC compatible with Copilot Plus. This compact powerhouse boasts an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and a sleek design that resembles the black M4 Mac Mini. First teased at IFA in September, Asus has provided more information about the specs, though details about pricing and availability remain under wraps.

High-performance specifications in a compact size

The NUC 14 Pro AI offers five processor options, ranging from the Core Ultra 5 226V with 16GB of integrated RAM to the high-end Core Ultra 9 288V with 32GB of RAM. It delivers up to 67 TOPS of GPU performance and 48 NPU TOPS, making it a solid choice for AI-focused tasks. The M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 x 4 slot supports storage ranging from 256GB to 2TB NVMe SSDs, ensuring plenty of room for data and applications.

Despite its power, the mini PC is incredibly compact. It measures just 130mm in both depth and width and 34 mm in height. For comparison, the Mac Mini measures 127mm in depth and width but is taller at 50mm.

Advanced features and connectivity

The Asus NUC 14 Pro AI is packed with useful features. A fingerprint sensor on the top adds security, while a dedicated Copilot button on the front allows you to activate Microsoft’s AI assistant with voice commands. The front panel includes two USB-A ports, a Thunderbolt 4 port, a headphone jack, and a power button.

You’ll find additional connectivity options at the back, including a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port, another Thunderbolt 4 port, two more USB-A ports, and an HDMI port. The device also supports the latest wireless standards with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

While Asus has showcased the impressive capabilities of the NUC 14 Pro AI, it has yet to reveal when the mini PC will hit the market or its expected price tag.
