Asus unveils new ROG Strix, and ProArt monitors ahead of CES 2025

Asus unveils new monitors, including ROG Strix XG32UCG for gamers, ProArt 6K and 4K displays for creators, and updated ZenScreen models for portability.

As excitement builds for CES 2025, which starts on January 7, Asus has unveiled a refreshed lineup of monitors, including a new ROG Strix gaming monitor, three high-resolution ProArt displays for creatives, and updated ZenScreen monitors. These latest releases showcase cutting-edge features tailored to gamers, content creators, and professionals.

ROG Strix XG32UCG: A gamer’s delight

At the heart of this announcement is the ROG Strix XG32UCG, a 31.5-inch IPS gaming monitor offering a unique dual-mode feature. With the press of a hotkey, you can switch between a stunning 4K resolution at 160Hz or Full HD (FHD) at a blistering 320Hz. This flexibility makes it ideal for immersive gaming experiences, allowing you to enjoy sharp 4K visuals for AAA titles or fast-paced FHD action for first-person shooters.

The XG32UCG also supports FreeSync Premium for AMD graphics cards and G-Sync for Nvidia, ensuring smooth visuals without screen tearing. Connectivity options include DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and a USB-C port with 15W Power Delivery. Gamers seeking high performance and versatility will find this monitor a compelling choice.

ProArt monitors for creators

For creative professionals, Asus has introduced its flagship ProArt Display PA32QCV, a 32-inch 6K monitor with a resolution of 6016×3384 and a pixel density of 216 PPI. Designed for top-tier colour accuracy, it offers 98% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB coverage, is Calman verified, and has been pre-calibrated to achieve Delta E<2. The display also features Asus’s LuxPixel technology, which provides an anti-glare and low-reflection coating without sacrificing image quality.

Connectivity is a standout feature of the PA32QCV, with two Thunderbolt 4 ports offering 96W Power Delivery and daisy-chain support. It also includes DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, a USB hub, and Auto KVM functionality, allowing seamless switching between two devices with a single keyboard and mouse. Its stand supports tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments for ergonomic flexibility.

If 6K feels excessive, Asus also announced two 4K monitors: the 32-inch ProArt Display PA32UCE and the 27-inch PA27UCGE. These monitors boast 600-nit brightness, 98% DCI-P3 gamut coverage, and Delta E<1 colour accuracy. They support HDR10 and HLG formats, with the PA27UCGE offering a 160Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals. Both models include a built-in flip colourimeter for auto-calibration, LuxPixel technology, and versatile connectivity options such as DisplayPort over USB-C with 96W Power Delivery.

ZenScreen monitors for professionals on the go

Asus has also expanded its portable ZenScreen lineup with three new models. The MS32UC, a 32-inch UHD display, offers 98% DCI-P3 coverage and HDR10 support. The MB27ACF, a 27-inch QHD monitor, features a sleek 5.4mm profile, weighs under 3kg, and boasts a 100Hz refresh rate. Finally, the MB169CK is a 15.6-inch FHD portable monitor with a detachable 360° kickstand, wall-mount compatibility, two USB-C ports, mini-HDMI, and a headphone jack.

While Asus hasn’t released pricing details for these monitors, their announcement ahead of CES 2025 suggests more information will follow during the event in January. With this lineup, Asus caters to a diverse audience, from competitive gamers to professional creators and mobile users.
