ASUS launches new TUF Gaming F16, A16, and A15 laptops at CES 2024

Brand-new chassis designs and excellent performance define the latest generation of TUF Gaming laptops.

ASUS announced today the brand-new F16 and TUF Gaming A16 laptop lineup, sporting upgraded chassis and expansive displays available with Intel and AMD respectively. The TUF Gaming A15 has also returned with an upgraded CPU and DDR5  memory, bringing a new level of performance to mainstream gamers.

Excellent gaming performance

All three 2024 TUF Gaming laptops are built with hard-hitting performance in mind thanks to high-performance chips from Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA. Intel enthusiasts will love the new TUF Gaming F16, available with an Intel Core i7 processor 13650HX with 14 cores and 20 threads, as well as ultrafast DDR5-4800MHz RAM to keep the machine feeling responsive at all times. Paired with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, this machine is built for long-lasting value for mainstream gamers. AMD fans can configure their own TUF Gaming A16, with up to an AMD Ryzen 9 7845HX paired with DDR5-5200MHz RAM. It also features up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus for high framerate, low-latency gaming.

The TUF Gaming A15 has also been refreshed with the latest CPU and memory for ultra-snappy performance, featuring up to an AMD Ryzen 8000 series processors alongside DDR5-5600MHz RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-Series Laptop GPU with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus. All three machines are upgradeable, with two memory and storage slots available for expansion, and come with the all-around durability that TUF Gaming is known for: the new F16 and A16 are tested to the new 2024 Military MIL-STD-810H standards for durability, including vibration, shock, altitude, and temperature resistance.

New ultra durable chassis design

Brand new for 2024, the TUF Gaming A16 and F16 feature a redesigned chassis, with new 16-inch displays and a clean look inspired by the robust mecha featured in anime, comics, and games. Both machines are available in one of two colorways: Jaeger Gray, which features a stylish laser-sculpted TUF logo on the center of the lid, and Mecha Gray, which features an embossed logo. Both machines also feature TUF wording on the trackpad, with a small logo underneath the keyboard deck.

The TUF Gaming A16 and F16 also feature USB-C PD charging for easy mobility, alongside a long-lasting 90Wh battery. The desktop-like keyboard has a deep travel distance of 1.7mm for comfortable typing and gaming, above a large touchpad for precise movement in games and content creation alike. The TUF Gaming F16 features Thunderbolt 4, while the TUF A16 sports USB 3.0 Type-C and the TUF Gaming A15 provides Type-C USB4 for ultra-fast transfer speeds.

Immersive visual experiences

All three 2024 TUF Gaming laptops are designed to put gamers right in the center of the cockpit. The new F16 and A16 provide visuals that fill the view with a new 16-inch, 16:10 aspect ratio display and thin bezels that make for a 90% screen-to-body ratio. The TUF Gaming A15 retains its slimmer 16:9 display, while all machines sport a resolution of 2.5K and a refresh rate of 165 Hz, hitting a sweet spot of sharp and smooth, ensuring gamers can see every enemy in the distance — and react with lightning-fast precision. G-SYNC support minimizes stuttering and eliminates screen tearing, while the IPS level panel ensures accurate, true-to-life colors. When coupled with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, the 2024 TUF Gaming lineup creates an immersive experience for competitive and story-driven titles alike.
