ASUS announces Intel Z890 and B860 motherboards for gamers and creators

ASUS introduces Intel Z890 and B860 motherboards with PCIe 5.0, WiFi 7, and DDR5 support, offering enhanced performance for gamers and creators.

ASUS has unveiled its latest range of Intel B860 motherboards, featuring models from the ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, and Prime series. These motherboards are designed to support Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2) and come packed with advanced features, including CUDIMM DDR5 memory support, PCIe 5.0 connectivity, and WiFi 7 compatibility.

Every ASUS B860 motherboard includes at least one PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot for ultra-fast storage solutions. Select models also offer PCIe 5.0 graphics card slots, premium audio, and USB4 connectivity. Available in ATX, microATX, and Mini-ITX form factors, these motherboards cater to a variety of PC-building needs, from compact gaming rigs to expansive creative workstations.

ASUS has also improved the BIOS experience by upgrading the interface resolution to 1920 x 1080 pixels, making it easier to navigate settings. Additionally, the BIOS Q-Dashboard offers a clear layout of the motherboard’s components and connections.

For users looking for top-tier performance, ASUS has teased upcoming Z890 models, including the ROG Maximus Z890 Hero BTF and the ROG Strix Z890-H Gaming WiFi, promising even more features and enhanced performance.

ROG Strix: Designed for serious gamers

The ROG Strix B860-F Gaming WiFi stands out as the flagship model in the B860 series. It boasts DDR5 memory support, a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, and a high-speed PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot. Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, premium SupremeFX audio, and easy-to-use features like the ASUS M.2 Q-Latch system ensure a smooth building experience.

For those seeking a stylish design, the ROG Strix B860-A Gaming WiFi offers a sleek white and silver aesthetic alongside four M.2 slots, WiFi 7 support, and high-quality audio. The microATX ROG Strix B860-G Gaming WiFi delivers similar features in a more compact form factor, making it suitable for space-conscious builds.

The Mini-ITX ROG Strix B860-I Gaming WiFi, despite its small size, supports PCIe 5.0 graphics cards and includes two M.2 slots, offering impressive performance in a compact build.

TUF Gaming: Built for durability

ASUS TUF Gaming motherboards are known for their durability and stability, and the B860 lineup continues this tradition. These motherboards feature military-grade components, robust cooling systems, and corrosion-resistant rear I/O panels.

The TUF Gaming B860-Plus WiFi is a full-sized ATX board offering excellent DDR5 memory support, PCIe 5.0 compatibility, and a wealth of connectivity options. Meanwhile, the microATX TUF Gaming B860M-Plus WiFi and TUF Gaming B860M-Plus provide compact alternatives without compromising on features.

ASUS Prime: Versatility for mainstream builds

The ASUS Prime series focuses on delivering reliable performance for mainstream PC builds. Models like the Prime B860-Plus WiFi and Prime B860-Plus offer flexibility with multiple PCIe x16 slots and robust connectivity.

MicroATX options, such as the Prime B860M-A WiFi and Prime B860M-A, balance compact design with high performance. For builders prioritising integrated graphics, the Prime B860M-K offers a cost-effective and streamlined option.

Smarter building and better optimisation

ASUS has introduced features like BIOS Q-Dashboard and ASUS AI Advisor to simplify the PC-building process. BIOS Q-Dashboard provides a clear, labelled view of motherboard components within the BIOS interface. ASUS AI Advisor offers step-by-step guidance, helping users optimise settings and troubleshoot common issues.

With these latest releases, ASUS continues to set a high standard for motherboard design, performance, and ease of use. Whether you’re a gamer, a creative professional, or a casual builder, there’s an ASUS B860 or Z890 motherboard tailored for your needs.
