Apple set to launch iPhone SE 4 with Dynamic Island and iPad Air featuring M3 chip

The iPhone SE 4 with Dynamic Island and iPad Air with M3 chip are expected to launch soon. They will offer modern design and performance upgrades.

As January draws to a close, Appleโ€™s plans for its upcoming products are starting to take shape. Exciting leaks suggest that the tech giant is preparing to launch three key devices in the year’s first quarter: the next-generation iPhone SE, a refreshed iPad, and a new version of the iPad Air.

iPhone SE 4 to feature Dynamic Island

According to reliable leaker Evan Blass, the fourth-generation iPhone SE will ditch the traditional notch and adopt the sleek Dynamic Island design in the latest iPhone models. This marks a significant upgrade for the SE range, often known for its budget-friendly price and outdated design.

Blass further notes that internal Apple source codes refer to the device as โ€œiPhone SE (4th Gen),โ€ confirming its existence. The design is expected to be heavily inspired by the iPhone 14, moving away from the current SEโ€™s dated iPhone 8-based appearance. This shift is expected to bring a more modern aesthetic, aligning it with the premium feel of Appleโ€™s newer models.

Dynamic Island will enhance the device’s visual appeal and introduce users to a more interactive experience. This could be a game-changer for fans of the SE series, making the device feel less like a compromise and more like an affordable alternative to flagship models.

New iPads expected with M3 chip

The leaks donโ€™t stop there. Appleโ€™s iPad line is also getting upgraded. The 11th-generation iPad and 13-inch and 11-inch versions of the iPad Air are rumoured to come equipped with the powerful M3 chip. This is surprising, as earlier rumours suggested the next iPad Air would feature the yet-to-be-released M4 chip.

The M3 chip is already recognised for its impressive performance, though its production challenges have reportedly driven up costs. Transitioning the iPad lineup to the M3 chip ensures users will still benefit from significant performance improvements while Apple works on rolling out the M4 series in its future products.

What to expect

Despite the internal upgrades, the new iPads and iPad Air models are expected to retain their current designs. These updates seem more about boosting performance and keeping Appleโ€™s range competitive rather than introducing a fresh look.

The iPhone SE 4 is expected to strike a balance between affordability and innovation. Its updated design and Dynamic Island will likely attract buyers who want a modern iPhone experience without the premium price tag.

Apple is likely to unveil these products in March or April, so fans will soon be able to see what the company has in store.
