Amazon launches dedicated website and app for Alexa Plus

Amazon is launching a new Alexa.com website and mobile app for Alexa Plus, offering new AI-powered features for users. Alexa Plus costs US$19.99/month.

Amazon has launched a new Alexa.com website and a dedicated mobile app for Alexa Plus subscribers. These new platforms will offer more ways to interact with the AI-powered voice assistant. While details remain limited, the website and app are expected to enhance how you use Alexa Plus, which was officially introduced at an event earlier today.

What you can do with Alexa Plus

During the event, Amazon demonstrated some of the advanced features you can expect from Alexa Plus. You can converse with Alexa to complete tasks like ordering groceries, managing smart home devices, and even checking if someone in your household has walked the dogโ€”using your home security cameras for confirmation.

Alexa Plus will also be capable of analysing and summarising documents. The new website and app may allow you to upload files for this purpose, though Amazon has yet to confirm this.

Currently, visiting Alexa.com takes you to an information page to learn more about Alexa and access the existing Alexa mobile apps. However, this will likely change once the new Alexa.com app is officially launched.

When will Alexa Plus be available?

If youโ€™re eager to try out Alexa Plus, you may have to wait a little longer. Amazon has confirmed that the service will first launch in the US within the next few weeks and then gradually roll out to other regions over the coming months.

Alexa Plus will cost US$19.99 per month but will also be included in an Amazon Prime membership.
