Alleged Nothing Phone (3) shows up on Geekbench benchmarks under a code name

Nothing’s next flagship smartphone, rumoured as the Nothing Phone (3), appears on Geekbench with Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and mid-range scores.

The tech world is buzzing with news about Nothing, the innovative smartphone brand known for its unique designs and fresh technological approach. After the Nothing Phone (2) release in 2023, the company skipped introducing a flagship model this year. Instead, it focused on expanding its mid-range offerings, launching the Nothing Phone (2a) and Nothing Phone (2a) Plus. However, there are signs that a new flagship device is finally in the works.

A flagship in the making?

The rumoured Nothing Phone (3) first appeared on Geekbench, a popular benchmarking platform. The device, listed under the code name “Nothing A059,” has sparked curiosity among tech enthusiasts. According to reports from 91Mobiles, the phone features an octa-core processor, believed to be the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset.

During the benchmark tests, this mid-range processor scored 1,149 in single-core performance and 2,813 in multi-core performance. While these numbers suggest capable performance for everyday tasks and moderate usage, they don’t quite reach the level of high-end flagship devices. Still, this could indicate that Nothing aims to deliver a premium experience at a competitive price point.

Balancing innovation and affordability

Nothing’s strategy with smartphones has always been about blending cutting-edge design with solid performance, and the upcoming model seems to follow that formula. The Geekbench results reveal some promising specifications, but much remains to be imagined.

Will the Nothing Phone (3) feature the transparent design language for which the brand has become famous? Can it introduce new features to set it apart in a crowded market? Nothing fans will have to wait for more details to be revealed.

For now, the focus is on what the Geekbench scores reveal—a device that may not aim to compete with the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy S series or Apple’s iPhone but could cater to a broader audience seeking style, functionality, and affordability in one package.

What’s next for Nothing?

As anticipation builds, the tech community eagerly awaits an official announcement from Nothing. The mid-range scores hint that this phone could follow the brand’s trend of offering innovative devices at mid-tier pricing. If Nothing can deliver strong performance, unique features, and its signature aesthetic, the Nothing Phone (3) might be a hit when it finally launches.

For now, Nothing is working behind the scenes to surprise its fans. Whether it will redefine mid-range smartphones or become a solid contender in the flagship space remains to be seen.
